Last Friday, Casino Niagara gave me a call to inform me that the tickets I was watlisted on were now available. My dad insisted that I book the most expensive tickets to take advantage of my perks for receiving a gold card with the casino. (That just tells you how much I've lost to get one) The concert was for a well know Chinese singer who apparently oppened for the Olympics in Beijing. My dad (like always) assumed that she'll be singing English songs. All that mattered to me that we were going to be together and enjoy the sunny (but cold) weather out. My parents picked Jeff and I up at the condo at 1 PM and off we went. On the way to Niagara, my dad was showing off his new ride with the sunroof. He openned it and when closing it, it got stuck. For the rest of the way, he and Jeff were trying to push the roof close and even pulled over to try and shut it. NEVER HAPPENED! We droved all the way with the wind gushing through, blowing everything in the car and occassionally made a high pitch howling sounds. As soon as we parked, one touch off a button, the roofed closed. AAARGH!My mom and I picked up the tickets for concert. I asked if the singer will sing any English songs. The lady politely said, "Only Chinese" My mom jaw just dropped, she was speechless and drew blank. I stared at her then laughed. *thinking - See I told you so. She said she'll watch it anyway cause she'll just sleep in there. We walk around and took some pictures, ate and escorted my parents to the entrance to concert hall while Jeff and I gambled.
My dad's Superman pose!
